The senator from Elgeyo Marakwet finally speaks about his silence and says that United Democratic alliance party is in his blood and no one will make him leave the party. The senator is a close ally to the Deputy president William Ruto and his silence had raised alot of mixed reaction from Kenyans whether his relationship with the Deputy president William Ruto was in a mess or he just kept his silence to plan for his politics.
Murkomen is one of Ruto's foot soldiers who was first elected to senate in 2013 using Jubilee ticket. He was the first Majority leader but fell out with its leadership when the relationship between the president and Deputy president parted ways. He had once declared interest on going for Elgeyo Marakwet gubernatorial seat but has since gone silent on it. He is an asset in Ruto's camp.
He supports the Deputy president William Ruto's hustler narrative and bottom up approach model of reviving the economy.
