Raila Odinga will be pleased with the latest statement from Wanjiku Kibe. The legislator was clearing air about rumors that she had decamped to UDA from Jubilee Party and was supporting DP William Ruto. Kibe said that her support to Raila Odinga's presidency cannot waver.
Giving her reasons for supporting Raila Odinga she said that she supported the handshake. The working partnership between President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga is meant to unify the whole country according to Kibe. She called the story of her joining UDA as a false scheme conceived by her detractors.
Wanjiku Kibe is one of vocal supporters of Raila in the vote region. Others include Ngunjiri Wambugu, Maina Kamanda and Peter Kenneth. Both Raila Odinga and William Ruto are keen to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta. Mt Kenya is seen as a region that might determine who wins the seat as it commands 9 million votes according to IEBC data.
