Purity Wangui Ngirici and Anne Mumbi Waiguru will battle out for Kirinyaga top seat come August elections. They are both eager to lead the county.Anne Waiguru is struggling to maintain the seat and Ngirici is struggling to unseat her.
Ngirici was one of the founder members of UDA but when Waiguru joined UDA she left the party and decided to vie for the gubernatorial seat on an independent ticket.
Earlier today while campaigning in Kirinyaga, Waiguru alleged that Ngirici is secretly in Azimio.Waiguru argued that Jubilee chairman David Murathe had said that the coalition had two candidates in Kirinyaga and the candidates were Ngirici and senator Kibiru.
Ngirici has responded back saying that Waiguru has nothing left apart from claims that she (Ngirici) is in Azimio. She has promised that on 9th August by ,10am they will have mopped the county headquarters with her hair.Purity has always dismissed claims that she is in Azimio and that people should vote for her as the governor and choose presidential candidate of their own.
