President Uhuru kenyatta arrived in Kinshasa Congo yesterday for a three day state Visit to the democratic re republic of Congo at the invitation of President Felix Tshisekedi who is the host of President Uhuru. He received President Uhuru kenyatta at N'djili international airport in Kinshasa.
The Kenya Airways plane carrying the president and his team from Kenya arrived at N'djili international airport in Kinshasa Congo, shortly after 3:00 on on Tuesday April 20, 2021. Uhuru was warmly welcomed by his host president Tshisekedi and accorded of full state reception complete with a guard of honour mounted by a detachment of the Congolese military. Accompanying president Tshisekedi at the airport to receive president kenyatta, we're several senior Congolese government officials including foreign affairs minister Christopher Lutundula and Governor of Kinshasa gentiny Ngabila Mbala.
The visiting of the president of this country DRC Congo is to strengthen that relationship, especially on the business side. It is to strengthen the relationship between Kenya and DRC through diplomatic relations between Kenya and play through trade through security relations and through other area that build the both side, it is a win-win situation. Aso also to strengthen strong and historical culture ties that exist between the people of the two nations. Congolese Rhumba music had over the years become part of Kenyans dancing and entertainment culture.
Along time civil war in parts of DRC Congo had hindered trade and the two states didn't trade with each other. Noting the return of political stability in 2014, had see more and business sectors of the country how many years trade between Kenya and DRC Congo has been no significant the reason being that the DRC was it safe to do business.
