Details have emerged that the Deputy President has decided to remain silent on the matter, instead focusing on his role in the current Government and which his loyalists consider important so as to not sabotage President Uhuru Kenyatta legacy and Big4 agenda.

Major players within the 'Hustler' bandwagon believe that Ruto running mate choice will play the most important factor in his race to capture the top seat with tribe and gender considered the basis of choice. Indeed fresh details have emerge thet Ruto must choose his running mate from the GEMA community if he is to get sureity of the Mt Kenya votes. This has not gone well with other politicians seeing it as a opportunity to extend one tribe dominance.
