Updates: Kalonzo Meets Meru Governor Just a Day After Being Endorsed as a Presidential Candidate

Former vice President Kalonzo Musyoka has held a high profile leaders meeting with Meru county governor Kiraitu Murungi.

The meeting which was held at undisclosed location brought together leaders who support both leaders from their respective regions.

Kalonzo Musyoka was escorted by leaders from his Ukambani region whereas governor Kiraitu Murungi had with him leaders linked to his Mbus political party.

It also comes at a time when the former vice President has been endorsed as a presidential candidate by his Ukambani region leaders who converged at his Yatta farm home in Ukambani.

It also comes at a time when the Kiraitu Murungi party has noted that they will announce their presidential candidate in the next three months.

He also asserted that the party will only rally Mt. Kenya East into supporting a presidential aspirant who will guarantee development to the people saying that Mt. Kenya East deserves to be respected in the political dispensation and sharing of national resources.

He argues that while he spearheaded the folding of 13 political parties to form the Jubilee party, President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto dodged him after its launch at Kasarani Stadium. He now says he will not 'auction' his party again.
