- The Deputy President William Samoe Ruto continues to grow his political roots ahead of the 2022 polls.
The Deputy President William Samoe Ruto has today, 27th, September 2021 Met the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party aspirants from Narok, Kajiado and Nakuru Counties at the Karen Residence, Nairobi County.
Among MPs present were Olesankok, Kimani Ngunjiri, Hon Kangata, Johana Ng'eno, Gabriel Tongoyo, Korei Ole Lemein, Janet Teyiaa, Soipan Tuya, Gideon Keter, Susan Kihika, Liza Chelule, Jayne Kihara, Benjamin Mwangi, Katoo Ole Metito and Charity Chepkwony.
Ruto is organising himself in preparation for the 2022 general election.
Speaking at the consultative meeting, the second in command promised free and fair nomination of UDA political aspirants at various levels. He says everyone will be given a fair chance.
He further said, a fair nomination is not a favour from the party but a right to every member of UDA party. " .. and I now to make or break a party is whether a party is free and fair or not."
Veronica Maina, the secretary general of UDA was present at the event. She insighted that the History has not been very good for political parties but UDA will turn the page. She detailed that everyone will be treated equally. She promised a fair playing ground for all aspirants.
