Uhuru Holds High Profile Meeting at Statehouse amid Presidential Vote Tally

President Kenyatta has on Saturday 13th hosted a team of election observers at Statehouse amid the Presidential vote tally taking place at Bomas of Kenya.

The team briefed the President on their observations about the election process. This team was led by the former president of Sierre Leone, Ernest Bai Koroma and included former presidents Domitien Ndayizeye (Burundi), Mulatu Teshoye (Ethiopia) and Ambassador Marie-Pierre Lloyd of Seychelles.

Ernest Bai affirmed that the election process was transparent and that all the observers have issued positive reports adding that the election system and institution worked within the law and international best practices.

They also lauded the way elections were conducted in Kenya emphasizing that they had learnt a lot and will be sharing what they learnt to Build a Better Africa.

The observers had earlier met Azimio presidential candidate, Raila Odinga and also met Kenya Kwanza's William Ruto on Friday 12th of August.
