The debate on who should be the Mt Kenya kingpin seems to go on as the elders from the region have not picked up their favourite after former President Uhuru Kenyatta retired.
There have been suggestions that Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua is the kingpin of Mt Kenya region but not everyone agrees to this idea, with some stating that President Ruto should be after his PS/CS retreat in the region.
Taking to her official social media platform, renowned blogger Pauline Njoroge has slammed this idea of trying to make President William Ruto the Mt Kenya kingpin and revealed that this is not debatable.

I have never heard Kalenjins or Luos debate whether Ruto or Raila is their supreme leader. This is never a conversation because the kingpin is always obvious even before anyone speaks. We never discussed Uhuru being the dominant Kikuyu figure even in 2013.
Simply put, we were aware. However, it appears that the material of Rigathi Gachagua's supporters is limited to kingship tales. And some elders have joined them in demanding that Uhuru hand the reins over to Rigathi. Meanwhile, the man they are trying to impose the mantle upon is not even intrigued. He would prefer that his boss be appointed to the role." Pauline Njoroge stated.
