State House Kenya has published an update revealing that His Excellency President Uhuru Kenyatta landed in Miwani, Kisumu City County to commence a 3-day working tour of Nyanza and Western Kenya regions during which he will launch several development projects.
The Azimio Chairman and Jubilee Party leader has been working hard as his term in office comes to an end while drumming up support for his ODM brother Raila Odinga as Baba strives to clinch power after the 9th August General Election.
While at Miwani, the President inspected rehabilitation works of a viaduct on the Nakuru-Kisumu railway line done by the Kenya Defence Forces and addressed the people who turned up in big numbers to receive him.
During his visit to the Lake region which is Raila Odinga's political bedroom, the Head of State is scheduled to hold consultative meetings with the region's leaders and residents as well as address the people at various stopovers.
With approximately one week remaining to the polls, his move of launching new projects and brewing a soft ground for the ODM boss is a tactical move aimed at adding more votes into the Azimio basket and propel Baba to Statehouse. Here are some mixed reactions from Kenyans below:
