Ruto Hits Back At Uhuru Calling Sagana Meetings A Tribal Gathering

While addressing a gathering at Enoosaen Girls High School in Kilgoris Constituency of Narok County the deputy president today took a swipe at his boss Uhuru Kenyatta stating that he is beyond tribal politics.

" I cannot be invited to discuss tribal bigotry" Ruto said in apparent reference to the Head of State holding consultative meetings with leaders from Mount Kenya, adding, "As the deputy president of the Republic of Kenya my duty is to unite all Kenyans and provide them equal opportunity irrespective of the family or tribe they hail from".

The DP had just attended a church service conducted by the Maranatha Church and was now carrying out an empowerment program.

President Uhuru Kenyatta's four-day weekend in Mount Kenya has been a cause of heightened animosities between Ruto and Uhuru who said on Saturday that nobody had the privilege of chosing his parents thereby trashing the "Hustler Movement".

Uhuru's allies in the BBI also expected an endorsement in Sagana but he confined himself to popularizing the BBI.
