Babu Owino is a University of Nairobi alumnus and a well known political activist from campus to his current position as Embakasi East MP. He's been in the political field for quite some time, having gained much experience by taking part in student leadership. In several occasions Owino has been spotted airing his aspirations and stand in the coming 2022 general elections which are just around the corner.
At the moment we have candidates who have already declared that they'll vying for presidential position. One of these aspirants is Raila Odiga, from the Luo land. Raila alias Baba, is on the run trying to convince the public to show support by voting for him.
Following this story, Babu Owino is a great chief campaigner supporting Raila against Ruto. Thus today morning Babu posted a photo of Raila with a caption that revealed he's on his side. The statement also touched on Ruto referring to him as a resident whilst acknowledging Odiga as the incoming president. He said " What we lost in the fire we shall find in the ashes Baba must be president and Ruto must be resident."
This elicited different reactions from Kenyans with some standing on Ruto's grounds while others went for Raila. Below are screenshots of their responses to the post.
From their responses it's possible to detect the possible political fire which is about to splitting us into pieces. It's important to realize this is the time we should uphold our unity as Kenyans. Let's avoid the political discord that's greatly spreading amongst ourselves.
