The Ministry of Lands has come out to address concerns that emerged on Saturday after a lorry was spotted transporting documents from Ardhi House.
According to Lands Cabinet Secretary Farida Karoney, the Ministry has commenced relocation of hundreds of thousands of files, that have been scanned and digitized, from the Ardhi House headquarters .
National Assembly Deputy speaker Gladys Shollei, was among the first to raise concerns. Shollei, who also serves as Uasin Gishu woman representative, urged relevant officials to launch investigations into the matter .
In addition, the deputy speaker questioned the intention of the ministry to conduct the exercise on a weekend when government offices were closed .
The Ministry of Lands was yet to issue a statement by time of publishing. Ruto nominated Zachariah Njeru to replace outgoing CS Faridah Karoney at the Lands Ministry. Njeru was vetted the National Assembly Committee on Appointment on Wednesday, October 19 .
