JUST IN: Presidential Winner Announcement Pushed to 4PM

The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission had been tallying the presidential results for the past few days with both sides of the political divide expecting a win for their side.

The Former Prime Minister of Kenya, Raila Odinga was running for the top seat on an Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance ticket in the 2022 General Elections as per the reports that we have.

The Deputy President of Kenya, William Ruto, was running on a United Democratic Alliance party ticket and had mounted serious campaigns before the polls as was seen around the country.

Senior Counsel, David Mwaure, who was running on an Agano Party ticket conceded defeat yesterday and put his support behind Deputy President William Ruto while Professor George Luchiri Wajackoyah is still optimistic of a win despite having very few votes.

The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission had said that the announcement would be done at 3PM but that time has passed.

This afternoon, according to reliable reports that we have from Bomas of Kenya from the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission, the announcement has been pushed to 4PM by the Chairman.

Kenyans will have to wait a few more minutes to find out who their new President is from the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission, Chairman, Wafula Chebukati.

The Deputy President of Kenya William Ruto, Senior Counsel David Mwaure, and Professor George Wajackoyah have arrived at Bomas of Kenya.

Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga is yet to arrive at Bomas of Kenya and there has been very little activity at his Karen home in Nairobi County as per the reports that we have with us.
