The Tanzanian opposition party CHADEMA chairman, Freeman Mbowe has been arrested by people who introduced themselves to him as police officers and it comes at a time when he was supposed to lead the party in a meeting on the change of constitution.
His whereabouts of Freeman is not yet known as he was picked from the hotel where he was sleeping and the opposition has called on the people to go ahead and attend the meeting beisides the meeting are being surrounded by heavily armed police officers.
The meeting was supposed to be held at the Tourist Hotel Tai Five in Mwanza and it has been codoned off by the police from both inside and outside. The CHADEMA Party is expected to release a statement regarding the issue.
