Popular political analyst Herman Manyora is opined that the KANU chairman Gideon Moi is president Uhuru's preferred choice for the presidency in 2022. Manyora however feels Gideon would not win against William Ruto if both run for the same position during the 2022 elections.
"Gideon Moi is a prince; a prince does not need to fight for power; he is given. I know he is Uhuru's favorite candidate, but he does not have what it takes to win elections. If he is chosen as the One Kenya Alliance candidate, he will be breakfast for William Ruto. Despite being Uhuru's favorite, he would be floored by Ruto by 7:30am when polling stations are opened," Manyora said.
Gideon Moi is a member of the one Kenya alliance, which constitutes Moses Wetangula, Wiper's Kalonzo Musyoka, and Amani National Congress boss Musalia Mudavadi. All the one alliance candidates are rumored to have wanted to run for presidential candidate 2021, although they haven't come into an agreement
