Homa Bay Senator Moses Kajwang has joined other leaders allied to the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Alliance camp to criticize President William Ruto for defying the court order concerning the establishment of the Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) position.
Despite the Order by High Court, The Public Service Commission, PSC moved to affirm that it had conducted public participation for the creation of the position, further urging those interested to submit their applications by October 27.
As quoted by the Saturday Nation, Kajwang said that it was unfortunate that the president is going against the Judiciary yet he had assured Kenyans that all the three arms of government would be independent, and that all Independent Institutions would have their independence in the Kenya Kwanza Alliance government.
"I would say that the more things change, the more they remain the same. What we are now witnessing is impunity and total defiance against the rule of law."
Kajwang's remarks were however dismissed by Nandi Senator Samson Cherargei who said that PSC is an independent body and did not get any orders from the president.
"PSC is an independent institution which makes decisions without consulting any other office."
