Deputy president Rigathi Gachagua on Friday graced the 52nd Graduation ceremony in Kiambu on Friday took a moment to refer a row last year pitting Kenyatta University Vice Chancellor Prof Paul Wanaina and the former regime of Uhhru Kenyatta.
The row saw the versity boss ousted after he objected the move by the government to cede part of the university land World Health Organisation, that intended to set up a logistics hub and a Regional Centre for Decease Control and Prevention.
According to Gachagua things would have gone wrong and the land would have grabbed if president William Ruto would have been defeated by the opposition chief Raila Odinga.
"Had things gone wrong, and William Ruto was not elected as president, your land had already been grabbed. We have hence instructed the Ministry of Lands to cancel those allocations and reinstate the land back to Kenyatta University," the second in command Said.
