Over Twenty ODM, Jubilee and ANC leaders from Western region defect to UDA party

Political leaders across the country are defecting to stronger parties ahead of the next general election. One of the growing parties is UDA party which is associated with deputy president William Ruto. Leaders from different parties have defected to the party.

Today over twenty Jubilee, ODM, ANC and PPK aspirants and political leaders from Vihiga county defected to UDA party. The party has been trying to make inroads in Western region. Vihiga county is one of the counties in Western region.

The defectors were warmly welcomed by UDA executive director Mr. Odanga Pesa and former Kakamega senator Bonny Khawlale. They promised to work together with the new leaders in popularizing UDA party in Vihiga county and larger Western region.

The meeting took place at UDA headquarters in Nairobi. They new members were dressed UDA yellow t-shirts and caps. UDA executive director Mr. Odanga Pesa said that the party is gaining huge popularity in Vihiga and larger Western region.

Deputy president William Ruto is expected to use the party as his political vehicle in 2022 polls. The party has also come up with a new bottom-up economic model which aims at empowering local traders and small business people.
