Belgut MP Fired At IG Of Police Over Police Brutality As Netizens Angrily React On The Matter

Belgut Member of Parliament honourable Nelson Koech popularly known as Sonko has fired at the Inspector General of police over incidence of police brutality.

Sonko was responding to the incident by a man who was terribly injured while running to escape the hands of the police. The police are reported to have used full force while ensuring people have their masks on.

Despite government tough measures to ensure every citizen has their masks on, Sonko has warned the IG over the police in Belgut constituency chasing residents to an extent they got injured.

Sonko said, "Warning; Viewer Discretion.⁦@IG_NPS⁩ your officers are Brutalizing my people.Chasing them Deep into the farms on stupid allegations of not having masks. Why?"

However, upon Sonko addressing the issue to IG, Netizens took to Sonko's tweeter account as they angrily protest the police brutality as it follows below.

Kibet Felix: Last weekend was a boom at Sosiot Police post. They are doing rounds with two land cruisers. They arrested more than 50 people and demand nothing less than 3k. Nothing less than 150k per weekend.

Setanei: Mheshimiwa, our people in Belgut Constituents have suffered for long!

Go to the village centers from Kabianga-Chemomul-Chebirirbei-koiwalelach-Kapmaso-Kiptome-Kapchebet and many centers and you'll hear those horror stories!

People are being arrested deep inside villages.

Kiplangat Kerich C: This must stop. What police is doing in Kericho and especially Sosiot is nothing short of extortion. Security officers are terrorizing locals with impunity.
