Prior to the release of the presidential results, there have been reports of power outages in some areas of the country.

In Kapsabet town in Nandi county and several areas of Uasin Gishu, electricity was unavailable at the time this report was filed. Samson Cherargei, a senator from Nandi, pleaded with the Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) to restore power so that locals may watch the presidential election results on television.
Stephen Sang previously stated that KPLC is working around the clock to resolve a technical issue on the main power line in Lesos. They have assured me that the power will return soon. Please notify me if it occurs.
