Many Kenyans have now known their newly elected political leaders in various elective political positions as MCAs, MPs, Senators, Women Reps and Governors.

In some areas, the tallying process is still ongoing forcing the residents to be patient as they wait for the final results to be announced by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries (IEBC) body.

In some areas, those political leaders that have been defeated have been heard conceding defeats as they congratulate those that have won elections.

The presidential tallying process on the other is still on going as Kenyans are now eagerly waiting for the final results that will be announced by the National Returning Officer Mr Wafula Chebukati.

Mr Wafula Chebukati earlier said that he has seven days to declare the presidential results. This means the Independent Electoral and Boundaries (IEBC) will not rush in announcing the presidential results but they will first ensure that they have the accurate results before declaring the winner.

According to the livestream on the TV stations, the gap between the Azimio La Umoja-One Kenya Alliance flag bearer Honorable Raila Amollo Odinga and his counterpart the Kenya Kwanza Alliance flag bearer Honorable William Samoei appear to be very narrow.

This means the winner between them might not give the runners up a wide range. Or Kenyans might be sent to a run off if the winner fails to hit 50% + 1 vote as required by the Kenyan current constitution.

In what is seen as a huge win for the Kenya Kwanza Alliance fraternity, the incumbent Kiambu Woman Rep Gathoni Wa Muchomba have been declared a winner with 34646 votes against her close contestant the Azimio candidate Honorable Gabriel Mokuo who got 31,307 votes.
