During an interview on Citizen tv on Wednesday morning by Ombija,Police Spokesman Charles Owino said that that the state of security is very good, according to him Robberies and car thefts have gone Down.

He continued saying that the only issues they are seeing is organized crime, people planning to kill others.on the side of the curfew he said the curfew has helped a lot in terms of security.

"Our State of Security is very good. Robberies & car thefts have gone down. The only issues we are seeing is organized crime; people planning to kill others. Curfew has helped a lot in terms of security."

And when he was asked about the deputy president William Ruto on his statement about saying police is an independent post he said that they protect the deputy president and they can't be against him and at the same time they are giving him protection.

We protect the deputy president. We cannot be against him and at the same time we are giving him protection."

And when he asked about politicians behavior,he Said that if you look at the level of misbehaviour by politicians at times police don't need to argue with politicians, They are action oriented and they arrest them charge them.

If you look at the level of misbehavior by politicians at times, as policemen we do not need to argue with them… we are action oriented, we arrest you & charge you. We are bound to get some of these misbehavior during by-elections."

On the he said they don't need to take instructions from anyone when doing their job not even the cabinet secretary or the president.they undertake their duty within the law.
