Impeachment plan hitting president Uhuru Kenyatta has changed tune by Legislators allied to Deputy President William Ruto. Following the violation of the Constitution of chapter six on leadership and integrity by the president Uhuru on matters pertaining Building Bridges Initiative (BBI), the five bench judges ruled that President Uhuru Kenyatta have to be impeached for violation of the law.
As per the ruling BBI is an initiation of the president Uhuru thus unconstitutional as five bench judges of high court ruled. As Reports claims by Daily Nation Newspaper on 19th may 2021, Deputy President William Ruto's allies have rejected the call to impeach President Uhuru Kenyatta.
The allies to DP Ruto have rejected the suggestion brought forward to table a motion for impeaching president Uhuru Kenyatta after court's last week Ruling by five bench judges that has exposed the head of State to such action.
In the ruling made by five bench judges of high court on Building Bridges Initiative (BBI), judges outlined that President Uhuru Kenyatta contravened chapter six of the Constitution on leadership and integrity.
