East African Legislative Assembly member Kanini Kega has alleged that sone top allies of His Excellency the Head of State president William Ruto betrayed deputy president Rigathi Gachagua.
Speaking on Monday, he alleged that the Members of Parliament allied to the president majorly from outside Mt Kenya region went against what Rigathi Gachagua had proposed.
The Mt. Kenya politicians, led by Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, had struck a deal with other regions to back each other's nominees during the voting process, according to the former Kieni lawmaker.
However, the Members of Parliament allied to the Head of State went ahead and replaced those that had been proposed from the Mt Kenya region and instead brought in their own people.
Kenya Kwanza politicians from Central Kenya handpicked former MP Iringo Kubai and Maina Karobia but they were short-changed by their counterparts.
This is said to have gone wrong with the deputy president who later organised on how his people would not be betrayed and hence went ahead to have an organisation of how MPs would vote them in.
