Senator Cherargei Message To Raila After Homa Bay Leaders Snubbed Ruto's Tour

Kwanza politicians in Kenya After Homa Bay leaders boycotted President William Ruto's trip of the area, Senator Samson Cherargei allegedly begged Raila Odinga to free Azimio MPs. Several of the officials were unable to attend the church service at African Inland Church, including Governor Gladys Wanga and her equivalent, Member of Parliament Peter Kaluma of Homa Bay. While MP Kaluma claimed he was unable to attend due to financial constraints, Hon. Gladys Wanga provided the justification that she was in Mombasa on a business trip.

Senator Cherargei said it was regrettable that the leaders missed meeting with Ruto despite the fact that they were expected to present their people's development agenda. He has now requested that Raila Odinga free them so that they can help Kenya shape the future. He stated in his statement, "It's about time that Odinga releases these leaders so they can participate in kenya's efforts to map out the future of our people while His Excellency William Ruto is in Homabay and the luo nyanza leaders are absent. They should be there to articulate their people's devt agenda. Would you please have a day of prayer?" According to Kaluma, he was unable to attend because there was no better coordination.
