In a thanksgiving ceremony held today in Nairobi Statehouse, the president revealed to Kenyans one thing he realized after to talking to world leaders for the first time as president. The revelation is on what the world thinks of Kenya as the East African regional hub.

"I spoke to many world leaders and I realized that the world is looking up on Kenya to bring back and maintain peace and stability in the war ravaged countries in East Africa and beyond," said Ruto.

According to Ruto, the world is looking upon Kenya to play a key role in helping bring peace in Ethiopia, Somalia, South Sudan and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

As a result, Ruto asked Kenyans to pray for peace. "Pray for our defence forces so that we can live up to what the world expects of us," Ruto asked clerics and Kenyans at large.
