With electioneering year already started and the race to State House gaining momentum, Deputy President William Ruto today took his campaigns to a Kibra Constituency, a known Raila Odinga's backyard for you over a decade now. This was a fantastic opportunity for the second in command to promptly drum up support for his Bottom up economy revival approach, which he did promptly and efficiently.
Taking to his official Twitter account, the outgoing Deputy President clearly hailed several small scale traders for the tremendous effort they offer in ensuring that the Kenyan economy rises day in day out.
"Eunice Oyengo and Hellen Atieno are a testimony of how powerful small traders are in creating jobs and driving our country’s economic growth, given the right government support.",He wrote. https://t.co/Gyvhc2YQtQ
The Deputy President went ahead to do the unthinkable, that left several electorates in awe and appreciation. He took a boiled egg from one of the vendors, which he ate while still on the top of his vehicle.
