Deputy President William Ruto is a man on a mission, just today again he received yet another member of Jubilee party to his UDA party.Member of Parliament for Kajiado South Honorable Peris Tobiko who is a sister to cabinet secretary Keriako Tobiko today ditched Jubilee and joined UDA. Hon Peris Tobiko is looking to vie for Kajiado gubernatorial seat in 2022.
This is a blow to Jubilee which is the ruling party as many legislators are moving out of the party. The only people that seem to remain in Jubilee is the president Uhuru Kenyatta, the vice chairman David Murathe and secretary general Raphael Tuju. Although President Uhuru Kenyatta does not seem bothered by the recent unfolding as he is focusing on delivering services to Kenyans.
Just recently Kirinyaga Governor Ann Waiguru hinted at moving out of Jubilee party and joining UDA. This is yet another blow to both Uhuru and Raila since the governor was among the leaders who were campaigning for BBI.
William Ruto will now have to use this people who have joined his team to try and get more voters from their regions ahead of 2022. What is your take on this matter? Kindly share your views.
