The UDA met in West Pokot on Friday, where it continued to support the presidential election in August.
Residents who encouraged his speech greeted him warmly. However, some residents were unhappy when Ruth's ally got up to speak to the crowd. According to the video, the leader was seen calling for order as he reassured the angry people who harassed him.
The leader asked DP Ruta to ensure that the UDA nomination was honest and credible. Before the end of his speech, he was seen asking people to pay attention to what he said.
Ruta was accompanied by Kiharu Ndindi Nyoro, Senator Elgeyo Marakwet Kipchumba Murkomen, and Kikuyu Kimani Ichungwa.
Among the regional leaders who accompanied Ruta on Sigor were Simion Kachapin, MPs Peter Lochakapong (Sigor), Samuel Moroto (Kapenguria), Mark Lomunokol (Kacheliba), Lilian Cheptoo (District Woman Rep) and others.
