Lee Kinyanjui Statement After DP Ruto Yesterday Nakuru Rally

Yesterday's Rally in Nakuru that was organized by UDA, ANC and Ford Kenya has caused a lot of political turmoil as it was the first of its kind. The rally affirmed the fact that DP Ruto, Mudavadi and Weangula will be working together after their Bomas declaration. Nakuru governor Lee Kinyanjui has finally reacted to the events that took place during the rally.

Taking to his Facebook page the Azimio allied governor has said that it was wrong for the DP to endorse leaders who will be running for the August polls. Keroche breweries founder Tabita Karanja declared that she will be running for the senator’s seat, while Susan Kihika declared her interest in succeeding Kinyanjui. These however have not anchored well with the governor who is now terming it as an insult to the people of Nakuru.

"It is easy to understand where the yellow team has placed Nakuru. As an ‘assisted voter’, with no capacity to decide on their own. While in other regions, they will articulate what will be done to help the people, in Nakuru, they come to craft the imposition of their puppets as candidates," Kinyanjui said. Kinyajui went ahead to send a warning to UDA making it clear that they will not accept their candidates. As we have always stated, the people of Nakuru have the capacity and intelligence to make their choices.," the governor added.
