Embakasi East Mp hon Babu Owino has attracted criticism and mixed reactions, from Kenyans after linking deputy president William Ruto's promises and campaign strategies to an empty Check book that has no promises , while deconstructing His 2022 Bid.
Speaking through Facebook, the Mp who has always been the most vocal among ODM members, alleged that the decision by some Kenyans of supporting Ruto for the Presidency, is like being given an empty Check book to go ahead and fill the details so that you can cash in and buy a Luxurious Car, like a Mercedes Benz which cannot be given out for fee in any Circumstance.
He went ahead to attack Tangatanga, urging that being elected into Office by Kenyans will be a suicidal choice, like buying a Tuktuk Machine and taking it to the road, so that it can operate the same way a Mercedes Benz can. Babu showed confidence in His words, adding that He was just giving out knowledge to the Youths of Mt Kenya, who have been targeted by leaders especially presidential Candidates.
The lawmaker was basically firing shots at Dp Ruto, in a bid to sell out their ODM political agenda, and enlighten Kenyans on the right choices come 2022, when ODM leader Raila Odinga will be competing against Dp Ruto who has been in leadership for close to 8 years now.
Following His sentiments, a closer view of reactions from His followers revealed that a larger portion, were of the opinion that the Mp is being used by ODM in a very bad manner to attack the deputy president with no gains, while others supported Him urging that Raila is the right leader to save Kenya.
Babu had earlier addressed Mt Kenya youths in the University of Nairobi, where they had convened to deliberate on several issues. Below are comments from Kenyans :
