Kirinyaga Decides: Ann Waiguru Cries Foul, Alleges Rigging Plans as Counting Continues

Amid the ongoing anxiety by Kenyans on which candidate is taking lead in the just concluded highly staked yesterday polls.Even as IEBC officials continue to tally results.

In Kirinyaga county, the Kirinyaga Governer, Ann Waiguru has cried foul as his arch-rival, The Kirinyaga county MP, Wangui Ngurici takes an early lead.

Taking to his Facebook page, Ann Waiguru has called upon IEBC to move in quick and stop the ongoing tallying activities at Kianyaga. Since her opponents have started to rig.

Waiguru has alleged that extra ballot boxes with governor's ballot have been sneaked through the backdoor into the tallying room, allegedly denying her victory.

"Rigging in broad daylight??? - Two ballot boxes with governors' ballots enter Kianyaga through the back door in broad daylight! They MUST be removed and tallying MUST stop! Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission(IEBC)," Read a statement by Ann Waiguru.
