Political formations and realignments are already taking place in the country ahead of the 2022 general elections, which will be very contentious than before in Kenya's history as predicted by political analysts.
One race to watch will be that of the Nandi Gubernatorial race that has attracted political heavyweights from that region. The following individuals will be contesting for that seat come 2022;
He is the incumbent who was elected in 2017 courtesy of the Jubilee party which is sharply divided as of now. Sang who is the youngest Governor in Kenya will be looking forward to securing a second term in office.
He is currently the Nandi senator with aspirations of ascending to the Gubernatorial role come 2022. Cherargei is a strong ally of deputy president William Ruto and it will be interesting to find out as to whom Ruto will support for the Governor's seat.
He is a former Member of Parliament who once represented Belgut constituency. Keter fell out with DP Ruto but later on returned to Ruto's camp so as to protect his ambition of making a comeback into Kenya's politics. Keter will also be in the race to succeed Stephen Sang.
