Martha Koome Finally Speaks After Uhuru Lectured Judiciary, States What Will Happen On Thursday

Since the 2017 election nullification by the Supreme Court, President Uhuru Kenyatta has never had peace with the Judiciary. Uhuru and former CJ David Maraga used to engage in a heated war of words and after Martha Koome took over from Maraga, many people thought that things would change but still, there has been a problem.

That is because Martha Koome's Judiciary has been rulling almost everything brought up by the government as null and void. Just recently, the High Court ruled against the Huduma card process, something that probably left the Head of State angry as he lectured the Judiciary today over the court order.

Just after that strong speech from President Uhuru Kenyatta, Martha Koome has finally broken her silence. Through her official twitter account, the Chief Justice stated what will happen on Thursday this week.

"The Chairperson, National Steering Committee for the Implementation of the Alternative Justice Systems Policy, Justice (Prof) Joel Ngugi will speak about AJS and the Kajiado model on Thursday, October 21, 2021." Tweeted Martha Koome.
