Kenyans have about 10 months to elect another president who will take over from President Uhuru. Presindetial hopes that are eying to succeed president Uhuru includ the deputy president William Ruto, the ODM chief Raila Odinga, the Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi, the ODM aspirant and businessman Jimi Wanjingi, Kalonzo Msyoka, among others.
All of them are now out to meet Kenyans to secure votes. Deputy president William Ruto, is currently in Western region, where he has been able to meet residents from counties of Bungoma, and Kakamega. Based on who residents of Western region have responded to DP Ruto, it seems that DP Ruto might have good number of votes from the region.
Jimi Wanjingi, on the other hand, is currently in Lake region. However, the Presidential hopeful has received a blow from residents who seem not ready to support him. Jimi Wanjingi was the other day stoned by Migori residents.
Raila Odinga, who is currently in Mombasa, seems to have many supporters. For instance, Hassan Joho among other leaders from Coastal region, have decided to endorse him.
Lastly, Musalia Mudavadi, who is currently in Meru county, has been disappointed after leaders if the county failed to welcome him.
OPINION: Based on these, it is now clear that the next presidential election might be a two horse race between Deputy President William Ruto and the Orange Democratic Movement party leader Raila Odinga.
