Raphael Tuju, Jubilee Party Secretary General, is mourning the death of his mother, Mama Mary Odiyo Tuju who passed away this morning.
Mary Odiyo passed away on the night of Wednesday, November 17, while she was undergoing treatment at a Nairobi hospital. She was aged 87 years old when she died.
Mama Mary was a well known and highly respected community leader who believed in the virtues and benefits of education. Furthermore, her belief that education was the foundation of life was the inspiration that led many from her community to pursue education even to higher levels,
She was a productive members of society as described by the President.The Head of State described Mama Mary as a strong woman who raised a successful family and prayed to God to grant the Tuju family solace and fortitude at this difficult period of mourning.
It is more painful that she has passed away just one year after the sudden death of her husband.
