Bomachoge Chache MP Heckled At Funeral

The residents of Bomachoge Chache constituency in Kisii county, have accused their MP Alpa Miruka for allegedly encouraging hooliganism at funerals.Led by Brian Ombati,they said that the MP. hired goons to cheer him at the burial ceremony of Clement Omaoro of Sengera location.H3vfied after along illnesPhoto:Alpa Miruka.

Others accused the MP of transporting his supporters in congested vehicles without regarding the COVID -19 protocols."This is a big risk to our people."Said Jimmy Momanyi.They said that they were forced to eject him from the funeral inorder to bring sanity.When he stood to speak yesterday,he was heckled and forced to cut his speech short and left hurriedly. Speaking at a separate funeral,Miruka's supporters blamed his political opponents for organising the hecklers to jeer the legislator when he consoled the bereaved families.They asked the perceived opponents to wait untill 2022 when the national electiins will be announced then they try their luck into parliament.Photo:Bereaved families.

Before the electioneering period,Bomachoge Chache Constituency has already attracted more than seven contestants for the parliamentary seat.They include the former area MP.Simeon Ogari,Job Nyangenya Abdallah Matoke,Evans Mititi and the incumbent.
