Former Meru governor Kiraitu Murungi opens up as he reveals his reasons for ditching Azimio La Umoja One Kenya coalition led by Raila Odinga for the Kenya Kwanza alliance coalition led by the president elect Dr William Ruto.
Murungi said he was convinced into supporting the Azimio team and even selling Raila Odinga presidency in the mountain region despite the region being against the coalition. He added that he risked alot for the coalition just for their flagbearer Raila Odinga to secure more votes from the region.
Murungi said suporting Azimio La Umoja made him lost his seat which he was sure if defending should he made the right decision of joining the Kenya Kwanza alliance coalition.
Hw added that Kenya Kwanza and his DEP party share the same mission and vision and so it's easy to work with William Ruto. Kiraitu also assured Meru governor Kawira Mwangaza of the support of his members if county assemblies which are the majority in the region.
