The former prime minister honorable Raila Odinga who is the Orange Democratic Movement leader and know spear heading the Azimio La Umoja team declared his stand that he is going for the presidential seat come August this year. Mr. Odinga declared his bid and said that it is the citizens who wants him to vie and shape the economy of this country, others amongst them the Kitui governor stated that this country needs an Engineer to bring reforms into the structures and economy of this state.
The ODM leader who is believed to be enjoying close ties with the president Uhuru Kenyatta after the handshake which many said brought peace and harmony within the state said earlier that he will first unite the citizens through the new movement.
Mr. Raila have showed that he is disappointed in the way individuals mostly newly registered youths from the Nyanza region are not turning out to register as voters. He threatened to drop from the race as he is worried that he may not get the support he expected from the coming general poll.
