Raila Won't Say he was not Warned, Kabando on why President Uhuru May not Back Raila in 2022

For a very long time there have been believes that President Uhuru Kenyatta will lean towards the ODM leader Raila Odinga in 2022 elections however the latest revelation by Kabando wa Kabando has now put that in question.

Kabando who expressed his views in his social media handle alluded to the latest statements made by the National Assembly Speaker Justine Muturi in which issues like the handshake, Uhuru’s succession and the 2022 political dynamics were highlighted.

According to Kabando, the president’s condition for handshake with the ODM leader Raila Odinga was that they will all retire in 2022. This is however not the case as can be seen on Raila’s side because the ODM leader is hell bent on going for the house in the hill come 2022.

Kabando also alleged that money could have changed hands during the handshake between the two leaders. How true that allegation is has not been proved yet however if that was the case then it seems the ODM leader should not expect any reciprocation from the president in 2022.

If indeed one of the conditions for handshake was the retirement of President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga then perhaps the president will not in any way be compelled to support his friend Raila in the presidential contest.

This can again be proved by the kind of satire from Kabando while revealing this surprising turn of events. “My friend Tinga won’t say genuine friends didn’t warn him,” said Kabando.

Kabando’s concerns has perhaps just echoed what some political elites have said before that there is a possibility that the president is just buying time with Raila in order to finish his term and go.
