During his campaign trail in Kirinyaga County, DP Ruto made sure that his close allies, Governor Anne Waiguru and her competitor Ngiciri were united. He applauded the friendship after speculations were high that politics of hatred would have been played in the region. He also attended the ACK Kirinyaga Diocese Church and they got time to listen to Bishop Joseph Kibucwa. However, Senior Council Ahmednasir reacted to the unity that was restored between the two powerful ladies. In his statement he said that UDA has two amazing ladies in Kirinyaga, and from where he sits he thinks Anne is the real deal.
Professor Makau Mutua responded to Ahmednasir's claims and told his friend that Martha Karua will wipe them out and send both opportunists into retirement early on August 9, 2022. He added that they will cancel each out as the one rigged out of UDA Party in the nominations will join another party. Makau said that are headed to political oblivion. Martha Karua reacted and she was just left speechless.
