Seasoned political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi has shared his thoughts moments before Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission chairman Wafula Chebukati announces the presidential results.

Kenyans across the country are keeping a close eye on the proceedings at the Bomas of Kenya where the tallying of the results was being conducted before the president-elect is made known to the nation.

Ahead of the major announcement, controversial political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi who has been vouching for a Raila Odinga presidency has spoken amid tension in the country on who will be declared the winner.

According to the Professor who took to his social media account to share his thoughts, Kenyans should now understand why President Uhuru Kenyatta wanted to change the constitution.

In his argument, Ngunyi argues that the tension that had engulfed the country could not have been witnessed had President Uhuru Kenyatta have had his way and amended the constitution through the Building Bridges Initiative process.
