Following an attack that led to the death of seven General Service Unit officers and other 2 civilians in Turkana East, President Ruto has dispatched thousands of multi-agency officers trained to deal with high-end criminals.
The operation goes by the code 'operation comes to qualify in rift'. The crew has already registered success from the sides of Baringo and Turkana East.
Today, the security crew managed to recover several rifles and ammunition. Firearms in the hands of bandits are being recovered and the normalcy in the region is being regained slowly.
The multi-agency security team has asked the public to share all the necessary information concerning the walkabout of the bandits. The County commissioner for Turkana county said that the corporation between the residents of Turkana East and Baringo will bring about success in fighting bandits.
The bandits are known for their well-coordinated ambush. The soldiers who died recently were abruptly attacked without their consent. They did not expect to be attacked at that moment when they were attacked.
