Hon. Raila Amolo Odinga, the leader of the Orange Democratic Movement party has expressed interest in succeeding outgoing President Uhuru Kenyatta in the August general elections. Raila Amolo Odinga founded the Azimio la Umoja Movement to bring Kenyans from various political parties together in advance of the 2022 elections. Azimio la Umoja was warmly greeted by Kenyan legislators and the general public, who hailed it as a success story that will promote prosperity.
However, Raila Amolo Odinga had a morning shock after the Azimio la Umoja Movement was described as a danger to peace, national unity, and a soft coup.
According to The Star Kenya, the movement involves the nationalization of a flawed person who seeks power through the instigation of violence, intimidation, treachery, and lying. The population, according to true democracy, must exercise constraint over the executive branch, and their participation in the democratic process is proof of their sovereignty.
