A political science lecture at the University of Nairobi (UoN) Professor Herman Manyora has today spilled beans over Dp Ruto's strategies in the fourth coming general elections. The highly rated political analyst in Kenya argues that Dp Ruto is a very intelligent politician.
According to Manyora, Dp Ruto has realized that he is not going to make it in the August 9 elections and therefore he is making out ways he will use to frustrate the government of whoever will win the elections while in the opposition through the National Assembly.
The analyst further clarified that Dp Ruto is aiming to do so and that's why he is currently struggling to form a stronger coalition before the election to ensure that he will control the Senate, National Assembly and County Assemblies.
"Ruto knows he will not be president in 2022. Ruto is not gunning for the presidency in 2022. He is an intelligent politician who has looked around and realised that the 2022 elections will not go in his favour. The DP is building a strong party. He wants to control the Senate, National Assembly, and County Assemblies by way of quantity and quality," the political analyst Herman Manyora said.
He added that Dp Ruto is in fear that incase Raila wins the elections, he might revive the Building Bridges Initiative (BBl) to finish him politically. Therefore having large numbers in the Senate, National Assembly and County Assemblies is the only way to protect himself while in the opposition.
