Two Powerful Ruto Allies Who Retained Their Committee Chairmanship Amid Purge

Tangatanga members

Jubilee Party carried out the removal of Dr. Ruto Allies for engaging early 2022 politics instead of serving Kenyans. The party warned them but they refused to listen. Almost the entire leaders who were allied to Dr. Ruto have been fired or transferred to less powerful leadership positions in the Senate and in the National Assembly. Those who were transferred to less prestigious leadership positions have declined to take those positions. Leaders like Senator Onesimus Kipchumba, Senator Kindiki and other declined to take the less powerful committees positions.

Even if the purge was aimed at removing all leaders allied to Dr William Ruto, not all Dr. Ruto allies were fired or replaced. For instance, Honourable David Pkosing and William Kisang were retained as the chairmen of transport and ICT Committees respectively. It is believed that these leaders were spared from their removal because of the cabinet secretary who is working in the ministry of transport and ICT. The two leaders have a good working formula with their respective cabinet secretary.

Another fact is that these two leaders have not engaged in politics with Dr. Ruto directly. They have remained silent and busy working for the interest of the Jubilee Party leader and the government. They have not missed the meeting organised by the party leader. So there working relationship and their style of leadership saved them from the wrath of the Jubilee Party.
