Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria now says a good number of his colleagues in Parliament have forged academic certificates.
In a message he posted on his Facebook page, Kuria says only 50 per cent of MPs have valid academic papers.
"For about 40% of the MPs in the 12th parliament, the only genuine document they hold is a driving Licence," he wrote on Facebook.
The remarks by Kuria comes at the backdrop of forgery allegation pitting his preferred candidate for Juja By-election George Koimburi.
Koimburi, a PEP party candidate for the mini-polls, is accused of forging his academic papers and police are hunting him down.
The PEP candidate was initially seeking Jubilee Party ticket but he defected to PEP where he has been working with MOSES Kuria in their bid to clinch the seat.
Koimburi is facing fierce completion from Jubilee's Candidate Susan Waititu, a widow to former Late MP Francis Waititu.
Waititu succumbed to Brian cancer that led to the seat being vacant.
UDA party associated with the Deputy President William Ruto withdrew from the by-election leaving Moses Kuria to battle it out with the party that took him to Parliament.
