The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party, whose leader Raila Odinga also serves as party leader of the Azimio la umoja One Kenya coalition party, is encountering numerous challenges in its ostensible strongholds.
For instance, the orange party faces opposition from a sizable wave of independent candidates in Homa Bay, just as it does in Siaya County, where Evans Kidero, a former governor of Nairobi County, is running for governor.
According to a poll conducted by Mizani Africa, the current woman representative Hon. Gladys Wanga and the former governor of Nairobi are the front-runners.
If elections were held right now, according to the pollster, Wanga would triumph with an astounding 57.3 percent of the vote. Kidero, on the other hand, would come in second place with 39% of the total votes cast. Only 3 percent of voters are still undecided.
According to Mizani, there is a two-horse race between Gladys Wanga, the current woman representative, and Dr. Evans Kidero, the former governor of Nairobi.
