It was indeed confirmed that the President of Tanzania Dr John Pombe Magufuli is now no more. The question that remains is whether Tanzania as a nation will follow and adhere to their constitution in terms of succession politics or not.
"Will the succession in TZ be determined by the CONSTITUTIONALIST according to the TEXT of the TZ Constitution or will the CCM POLITBURO short-circuit the constitutional process?" Lord Abraham Mutai's statement.
Samia Suluhu Hassan who is the vice president will probably be sworn in as Tanzania President and will likely lead for the remainder of Magufuli’s term until 2025. He had just been re-elected in November last year.
If she's becomes the president, She will be the the first female President in Tanzania and East Africa. This is history that awaits to be written.
